Welsh rugby icon Shane Williams just proved he’s not only a legend on the field but also a powerhouse in endurance sports! Over the weekend, Shane took on his eighth Ironman challenge in the picturesque town of Tenby and absolutely smashed it, despite some wild weather conditions. 🌬️

This incredible course includes a 2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile bike ride, and a full marathon. Shane conquered it all in just 11 hours, 55 minutes, and 42 seconds! πŸ’ͺ Placing 29th in his age group and 235th overall among all male competitors is no small feat!

“It gets better and better,” Shane shared with a smile, reflecting on the amazing support from thousands of fans lining the streets. πŸŽ‰ “The run was my favourite because of all the support – seeing friends and family kept me going.”

Despite some unexpected challenges, like choppy waters and daunting headwinds, Shane embraced every moment. “It’s an Ironman – it’s all hard, but you enjoy it all the same,” he said.
