The murder trial of Joanne Penney is ongoing, with five individuals denying their involvement in her tragic death. The 40-year-old was shot in the chest as she answered her front door in Llys Illtyd, Talbot Green, back in March. Her death is alleged to have been part of a violent turf war between rival gangs. Last Thursday, 21-year-old Marcus Huntley admitted to murdering Miss Penney during the trial at Cardiff Crown Court.

The five others, Jordan Mills-Smith, Joshua Gordon, Kristina Ginova, Melissa Quailey-Dashper, and Tony Porter, have all pleaded not guilty and are currently standing trial. On Wednesday, the trial was paused as Mills-Smith required medical attention. The jury has been hearing evidence, including a video interview with a witness who was present at the scene.
