From scrumming to mooing, former England rugby star Julian White has swapped his boots for wellies and is living the farm life! 🏉➡️🚜 Julian, who was part of the legendary 2003 Rugby World Cup-winning squad, now tends to 600 sheep and 90 cows at his Leicestershire farm. Talk about an epic career change!

At 52, Julian embraces the rural lifestyle with his partner Sara and their kids at Crabtree Farm. After retiring from the high tackles of rugby, Julian sought solace in the fields. “Farming keeps me grounded,” he shared in an interview earlier this year. Feeling a bit more peaceful with the sheep, Julian?🐑

Though the transition wasn’t without its hurdles. From freezing lambs during the infamous ‘Beast from the East’ to battling misconceptions of being a “rugby millionaire,” it’s been anything but a smooth ride for Julian. Yet, the determination that made him a rugby great propels him forward.
Farming isn’t all sunshine and rainbows, but Julian loves what he does, even as he navigates setbacks like floods and barely breaking even. Stressful? Sure. But giving up? Not on Julian’s watch. 💪
He’s faced alopecia due to stress, but says, “If it wasn’t for Sara… If I wasn’t so bloody stubborn and determined, I’d have given up.” Stubbornness pays off, huh?
Julian’s experience is a reminder of the gritty realities and simple joys of farm life. No cable TV, just good ol’ 4G and still going strong!
Here’s to Julian White – proof that life after sports can be just as fulfilling. Still chasing goals, just of a different kind. 🙌
