π¨ Flood Alert in Tenby! π¨

Severe flooding has hit Kiln Park in Tenby, causing holidaymakers to evacuate. π§οΈ The popular Pembrokeshire caravan spot is battling rising water levels after a rare “danger to life” flood warning was issued due to relentless heavy rain across South and West Wales.

Witnesses report roads and grassy areas submerged, with some caravans on flooded ground. Fire crews rushed in to rescue stranded visitors and their furry friends πΆ using inflatable sleds to navigate the rising waters.

One visitor shared, “We were evacuated on Wednesday and had to leave again on Thursday morning.” The chaos doesn’t stop there, as flooding affects multiple areas in West Wales, closing schools and displacing locals.
The severe warning remains, centring around the River Ritec, impacting Kiln Park, B4318 Road, Clicketts Lane, Gumfreston Road, and Trefloyne Lane. Water levels are expected to stay high due to tidal restrictions, especially during high tide. The worst of the rainfall has moved on, but authorities are closely monitoring the situation.
Stay safe! π Don’t travel unless you must, and remember β never drive or walk through floodwaters. Listen to emergency officials and be prepared to evacuate if instructed. If you’re in immediate danger, call 999.
This isn’t the first time Kiln Park has faced flooding woes; similar scenes occurred amid Storm CiarΓ‘n in November 2023 and January 2024. Let’s hope everyone stays safe through these challenging conditions. π
Take care, Tenby! πͺ
