🌟 Alan Carr’s big win on Celebrity Traitors has brought hope and recognition to a cause dear to many hearts. Winning a whopping £87,500 for Neuroblastoma UK, Alan played his role undetected and succeeded in drawing attention to a devastating illness affecting children.

Joseph Yeandle, a bright and loving little boy from Carmarthenshire, sadly lost his battle to neuroblastoma shortly after Christmas 2021. To honour his memory, Joseph’s Smile charity was created, focusing on supporting families and working closely with Neuroblastoma UK.

Katy Yeandle, Joseph’s mum, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Alan and highlighted the crucial awareness he has raised. She shared, “The funds will significantly impact research, but more importantly, it sheds light on childhood cancer.” Katy is determined to unite all childhood cancer charities under the campaign “Kids Get Cancer Too,” and she’s urging prominent brands, just like the Tickled Pink campaign, to rally for childhood cancer awareness.
Emily Hood from Neuroblastoma UK shared that Alan’s support has been instrumental. As a patron since 2016, Alan has been an unwavering advocate, raising both awareness and funds with his warmth and humour.
Alan, often moved to tears during the show, remarked, “It’s a privilege to support Neuroblastoma UK, and I’m thrilled to spotlight this incredible charity.”
Neuroblastoma strikes around 100 children in the UK each year, and despite the challenging prognosis, efforts like Alan’s bring hope for better treatments and, ultimately, a cure.
💛 Together, let’s ensure the message reaches far and wide to help more families and change lives! #KidsGetCancerToo #ChildhoodCancerAwareness #ThankYouAlanCarr
