🚽🔍 Look Before You Flush! 🌈 Ever wondered why your wee changes colour? The shade of your urine can tell you a lot about your health!

💛 Normally, healthy urine is a pale yellow. But deviate too far, and it’s time to pay attention! Well pharmacist Wendy Lee explains it all:

🍔💊 Diet or Meds: A colourful diet or specific medications can paint your wee in bright hues like orange (carrots or B vitamins), green/blue (certain meds), or even pink (from beetroots).
🚰 Dehydration Alert: Dark yellow, amber, or brownish urine? You might need to up your water intake. Dehydration can cause darker shades!
⚠️ Serious Signals:
– **Pink/Red**: Usually harmless (think beetroot), but also could be blood, so consult a GP if it persists.
– **Brown**: Could be severe dehydration or rare conditions like liver issues. Check with a doctor if concerned.
– **Cloudy/White**: Often a sign of a UTI or STI, especially if accompanied by discomfort or unusual odour.
– **Rare Purples**: Linked to specific conditions like Purple Urine Bag Syndrome in catheter patients.
🩺 Wendy advises: If you’re worried about extreme or prolonged colour changes, visit a pharmacist or GP! Your kidneys naturally filter waste, but when something seems off, it’s best to seek advice.
Stay hydrated, stay healthy, and don’t ignore your body’s signals! 💦✨
