One frustrated resident, Daniel Popp, shared: “It’s unbelievable. Despite warnings, cars keep ploughing through the water, making it twice as bad down the street. The waves from passing cars must’ve been about two feet high!”

While this road hasn’t seen flooding in the past three years, it’s clear the relentless rain is taking its toll today. Beyond Briton Ferry, many other areas across Wales are bracing for “heavy and persistent rainfall.”

The amber warning has been announced for numerous regions: Blaenau Gwent, Bridgend, Cardiff, Carmarthenshire, Neath Port Talbot, Swansea, and others. This warning remains in effect until 9pm tonight, so wherever you are, stay safe and stay informed! 🤞
