Meet Harper, the brave 7-year-old from Baglan who faces a daily battle with an unexplained illness. For the past seven months, Harper has struggled with severe vomiting, sometimes up to 100 times a day. Her parents, Kat and Laura, have been tirelessly seeking answers but feel they’ve been dismissed by medical professionals.

Initially thought to be linked to an ear infection, Harper’s symptoms have only worsened. Multiple visits to A&E left the family frustrated, as they were often sent home without a diagnosis. After persistent advocacy, a scan finally revealed a possible cause, but the journey is far from over. The situation has turned their lives upside-down, with everyday activities and school becoming impossible for Harper.

Even a diagnosis of H. pylori infection hasn’t stopped the vomiting, raising further questions. Kat and Laura are urging other parents to trust their instincts and fight for the care their children need. While a consultant appointment is on the horizon, Harper continues to miss out on school and the joys of childhood, like her upcoming birthday party.
Despite the challenges, Harper’s mum remains hopeful and determined to find answers. They are reaching out to the Patient Advice and Liaison Service to ensure no stone is left unturned in their quest for help. Stay strong, Harper, your bravery is an inspiration to us all. ❤️
