🚨 Fraudster Alert 🚨

A mobile phone shop owner, Zahid Afzal from Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, has been ordered to pay almost £200,000 or face two years behind bars. Why? For fraudulently snagging £150,000 in loans meant for businesses struggling during the Covid crisis. 😯

Afzal, 37, initially played by the rules, applying for “Bounce Back” loans designed to support businesses in dire need. But then he took a dark turn, exploiting his knowledge to sneakily apply for three more loans by bending the truth – inflating company turnover figures and hiding previous applications. 🚨💼
Despite being slapped with a suspended two-year prison sentence and tasked with 300 hours of unpaid work, Afzal’s wallet has barely opened, returning only a meagre £2,722 in over five years. ⚖️
The pressure’s now on. He’s got three months to cough up the full £197,306, accounting for all three illegal loans, or he’s off to prison. The Insolvency Service is cracking down hard, making sure that Covid loan fraudsters don’t profit from their schemes. 💷🔍
Bounce Back loans were initially a lifeline, offering £2,000 to £50,000 at low interest rates to help small businesses during the pandemic storm. Zahid exploited it but now finds himself in hot water. 💥
Stay tuned for justice as the authorities work tirelessly to ensure this Covid crisis con is answered for! ⚖️🔔
