🏉 Tough Day for Wales in Six Nations Opener 🏉

Wales captain Dewi Lake didn’t hold back as he spoke after their 48-7 loss against England in the Six Nations opener. The Welsh team went into the match hoping to kick off the tournament on a high, but instead faced a tough defeat at Allianz Stadium.

Lake admitted, “We let ourselves and the fans down. We talked all week about the performance we wanted, but we didn’t deliver. We’re disappointed with how we performed today.”
Reflecting on the match, Lake pointed out that self-imposed pressure, penalties, and cards were their undoing. Despite the setback, he praised the spirit and effort of his team: “There’s no question of effort with this group. They’re dedicated and eager to improve.”
Amid the uncertainty surrounding the Ospreys’ future, Lake was clear that external factors weren’t to blame: “The boys just want to do their best for Wales. It’s not an excuse.”
With title favourites France coming up next in Cardiff, Lake is urging fans to rally behind the team: “Every fan’s support matters. We’re determined to do better and excite the nation in the coming games.”
Let’s keep cheering on Wales as they aim to bounce back stronger! 🏆🏴 #SixNations #WelshRugby #RugbyFamily
