**🚦 Dangerous Roads: A Local Mum’s Alarming Story ⚠️**

Twelve years ago, little Milly Begum was just 11 when a terrifying incident reshaped her life forever. She was struck by a car while crossing Paget Street in Cardiff, a road her family calls home. Since that fateful day, Milly, now 22, has bravely battled severe headaches and memory loss, likely stemming from the accident.

Milly’s mum, Shefah Begum, recalls moving to Paget Street, Grangetown, back in 2002. But what should have been a peaceful home quickly turned worrisome as speeding traffic became the norm. Despite the speed limit being cut to 20mph and a primary school nearby, the threat of speeding cars feels ever-present.
In 2024 data shockingly revealed, the average speed on Paget Street remained above the limit, with southbound traffic hitting 26mph. Residents claim some cars zoom past at up to an unimaginable 60mph! 😱 Despite three incidents reported in 2025, authorities say the road doesn’t meet enforcement criteria.
Shefah has heard endless car alarms and even stopped parking her car outside due to fear of more collisions. She says exhaustedly, “I don’t park it on the street anymore. I don’t want to lose my car.”
Reliving the traumatic day of the accident, Milly was crossing the street like any normal day. Suddenly, a car emerged out of nowhere. The crash left her dealing with hydrocephalus – a fluid build-up on the brain. After numerous procedures, Milly’s headaches persist, impacting her education and mental health.
Years later, Milly bravely graduated from university, even after missing her summer graduation due to health issues. She recalls navigating daily life with anxiety and memory issues, yet she remains a symbol of resilience. 🌟
