😲 **20 Passengers Offloaded from BA Flight Due to Extreme Heat!** ☀️

In an unexpected turn of events, a British Airways flight from Florence to London City faced a unique challenge when 20 passengers had to leave the plane. Why? The aircraft was too heavy to take off, thanks to Italy’s sizzling summer temperatures!

The BA Embraer ERJ-190 was ready for departure from Florence’s Amerigo Vespucci airport. 🌡️ But the scorching 35-degree heat meant the air was less dense. This required more fuel, and combined with the short runway (half the length of Gatwick’s), the plane couldn’t lift off safely at full capacity.
A passenger shared, “The pilot announced that due to the extreme heat, the plane needed extra fuel to operate effectively. Initially, they mentioned offloading 36 passengers, but thankfully only 20 had to disembark.”
To make things more chaotic in another incident, a Ryanair flight was temporarily held at Manchester Airport after a passenger attempted to open an emergency exit mid-flight!
British Airways has extended apologies to the passengers affected by the heat-induced offloading. A spokesperson explained, “The short runway and high temperatures impact air pressure, necessitating a lighter aircraft for safe takeoff. We’re truly sorry for the inconvenience caused.”
Aviation expert Dr Jonny Williams warns that such events might become more common due to climate change, impacting smaller airports during peak summer days. He predicts that by the 2060s, these conditions could occur three to four times a week, potentially increasing the cost of flights to sunny destinations like Spain, Italy, and Greece.
