🌊✨ Dramatic Rescue in Tenby 🌟

Two teenagers owe their lives to a brave rescue off the coast of Tenby after getting caught in powerful rip currents, fuelled by the remnants of Hurricane Erin. Despite warnings, the teens entered the turbulent waters between Castle Beach and South Beach, where big waves and strong currents posed a significant threat.
As RNLI lifeguards patrolled, they quickly noticed the teens struggling and staged a daring rescue. One teen was seen shouting for help, while the other was unresponsive after being pulled 150m out to sea.

With impressive speed and skill, lifeguards Carl Amos and Liam Nash sprang into action. Carl tackled the fierce waves with fins and a rescue tube, while Liam paddled out on a rescue board. Both heroes swiftly secured the teens, bringing them back to safety.
Once ashore, lifeguards provided essential oxygen to the struggling teens before rushing them to Tenby RNLI Inshore Lifeboat Station to await an ambulance. Medics later confirmed both had ingested water and were taken to hospital for further care.

Carl Amos highlighted the importance of swimming between the red and yellow flags and heeding safety advice. “This incident shows the value of preventive measures. The conditions were challenging, and we’re relieved we could help.”
This heart-stopping rescue is a reminder of the ocean’s power and the critical role of the RNLI. 🌊⛑️💙
