A shocking case has come to light involving a man who targeted two young girls in separate, disturbing incidents. Alexander Dale has been sentenced to 23 months in prison for the offences which have left a lasting impact on the victims and their families.

The first incident occurred on a bus in Barry, where Dale made a vile proposition to a 15-year-old schoolgirl. After invading her personal space, he showed her an inappropriate message on his phone offering money for a sex act. The brave girl immediately reported the incident, and Dale was swiftly thrown off the bus.

Just two days later, Dale struck again in a Cardiff park, approaching an 11-year-old girl. After asking for directions, he attacked her, but she managed to escape and alert her father.
Despite no previous convictions, Dale has admitted guilt to charges of inciting a child and sexual assault. His legal team cited mental health issues, but this did not prevent the court from recognising the severity of his actions and their profound effects on the victims. As part of his sentencing, Dale will also be subject to a decade-long Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
Police commend the courage of both girls for coming forward, underscoring the right everyone has to feel safe in their everyday lives. They assure the public that all available resources are used to bring such offenders to justice and to maintain community safety.
