Alan Sheehan is urging more from Swansea City after a dramatic draw against Hull City. The Swans twice let their lead slip, with the match finishing 2-2. Zan Vipotnik had put Swansea ahead just before the break, only for Oli McBurnie to equalise moments later. A second half goal from Ronald restored Swansea’s advantage, but a late equaliser from John Egan in stoppage time denied them the win.

Sheehan highlighted defensive frailties, admitting, “We conceded more chances today than in the last four games combined.” He praised goalkeeper Lawrence Vigouroux for keeping them in the game, noting his excellent saves during a period of relentless pressure from Hull.
Despite the frustration, Sheehan is focusing on the positives and insists the team is on the right track. “We’re simmering as a team and showed quality in patches. However, we need consistency,” Sheehan stated. With 12 new players in the mix since summer, establishing firm foundations is key for building momentum and consistency.

The Swans boss also expressed his disappointment with the amount of injury time that led to Hull’s last-gasp equaliser, questioning the seven minutes added on. However, he praised his players for their effort, stating they gave everything on the pitch and emphasised the importance of learning from this draw as they move forward.
Sheehan declined to comment on the exit of director of football, Richard Montague, saying his current focus is solely on improving the team’s performance.
Exciting times are ahead for Swansea City, and with continued hard work and by addressing these key issues, the Swans could thrive in the coming weeks! #Swans #SwanseaCity #FootballDrama
