Rain couldn’t dampen the spirits at the 2025 Swansea Bay 10k! Over 5,000 runners braved the blustery weather to participate in this iconic event. The race kicked off near St Helen’s Ground, taking runners on a scenic journey to Mumbles and back along the beautiful Swansea seafront.

Congratulations to the winners! Dewi Griffiths clinched the men’s 10k title in an impressive 29:46, Louise Smaiil topped the women’s race at 33:22, and Owain Terrell triumphed in the wheelchair category with a time of 31:53. Not to be outdone, juniors enjoyed their own 1k and 3k races, while the mascot race saw Patch the Superdog from the Joseph’s Smile charity race to victory!

The legendary finish line buzzed with excitement as everyone collected their medals and enjoyed live music and refreshments. Swansea Council leader Rob Stewart expressed his gratitude to all participants and supporters, highlighting the event’s family-friendly atmosphere and hinting at a new sponsor for 2026.

Lorna Connelly from Admiral praised the sense of community spirit, with families, volunteers, and runners making it a day to remember. Hats off to all the sponsors, including Princes Gate Mineral Water for their eco-friendly efforts with recycled plastic water bottles.
