St Michael’s is a treasure trove of stunning leaded light windows, such as the east window depicting the Ascension by Heaton, Butler and Payne, and a masterpiece by Pugin—the only one of its kind in Wales! While most of its windows are a vibrant testament to the 19th century, the west window stands out for needing some TLC.

The new scheme has been carefully designed to respect the church’s historical essence, replacing the unsightly modern glass panes with a more traditional look. The project aims to blend the church’s grand past with a touch of contemporary simplicity.

A big thumbs up to the team involved in safeguarding this beautiful slice of history. Stay tuned for updates as this architectural marvel gets a fresh lease on life! 🕍✨
