🌟 What an incredible summer for women’s sport in Wales! From the thrilling Euro Championships to the Women’s Open in Porthcawl and the Rugby World Cup, it’s been a blockbuster season. With record-breaking attendance and a surge in tickets sales, it’s clear the appetite for women’s sport is growing beyond expectations.

With over 600,000 tickets sold for the UEFA Women’s Euros, including 35% to international fans, and Twickenham already sold out for the Rugby World Cup final, the momentum is undeniable. Big brands like Amazon, Lidl, and PepsiCo are backing the scene, marking the most significant sponsorship in tournament history. It’s game on for opportunity!

But here’s the kicker – while elite events are soaring, grassroots still needs our love. A whopping 94% of girls aged 7 to 16 want more chances to get active. And it’s not just about sports – it’s a chance to build healthy lives and inspire future champions, regardless of background.
Safety remains a hot topic, with far too many women facing harassment while staying active. Partnering with Route Buddies, we’re pushing for safe spaces because everyone deserves to feel secure while enjoying sports.
Our mission? To make sure this phenomenal season translates into lasting change. As we gear up for the 2026 Senedd elections, we’re calling on government, businesses, and communities to unite for genuine equality in sport.
Together, we can keep this momentum rolling and carve out a brighter future for women and girls in Welsh sport. Let’s advocate, celebrate, and connect to transform this incredible summer into a sustainable movement. 🚀🏴 #WomenInSport #CymruSport #GameChanger
