🚨 Cancer Alert! 🚨 NHS is urging everyone over 50 to take action. Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK, affecting over 56,000 people yearly, and early detection through screening could be life-saving.

🎗️ Ladies, if you’re 50 or above, you’re invited for a breast cancer screening every three years until you hit 71. Screenings use X-rays (mammograms) to spot cancers too tiny to feel.

🔍 Early detection and treatment mean better recovery odds, so don’t miss your invite! If you’re 53+ and haven’t been invited yet, reach out to your local screening service.
🗓️ If you’re 71 or over, you can still request screenings every three years—just contact your local service to book.
💡 Trans community: Your GP registration impacts your invite status. Registered female? You’re automatically invited. Registered male? You need to request.
⚠️ Be alert to symptoms and consult a GP if you notice changes in your breasts, even between screenings. Symptoms can include lumps, swelling, skin changes, nipple discharge, and persistent pain. For men, yep, it’s rare but possible, so stay vigilant!
👉 Regular checks help you understand what’s normal for you, making it easier to spot any changes. Your health is vital, so stay proactive and stay informed.
