Snooker fans, a bit of news about our favourite Aussie cue wizard! Neil Robertson, the 2010 world snooker champ, is having a tough time right now. After competing in the Xi’an Grand Prix in China, Neil came down with a nasty respiratory virus that hit him like a ton of bricks. It was so serious that he found himself bedridden and had to skip the Northern Ireland Open—a tournament he’s been eager to add to his collection.

In an honest update on social media, Neil shared the challenge he’s facing. “After coming back from China, I picked up a brutal virus in Xi’an,” he said. “Breathing was a struggle and I was in bed for nearly six days. It’s been one of the toughest experiences I’ve faced.”

But there’s good news! Neil says he’s slowly getting back on his feet and is determined to return to the table as soon as he can. Despite this setback, he still shone earlier this year when he nabbed a title at the World Grand Prix. Plus, let’s not forget his amazing achievement of receiving the Order of Australia—what an honour for the Melbourne-born talent!
We wish Neil a quick recovery and can’t wait to see him back in action, doing what he does best. Give him a shout of support and let’s hope for a speedy comeback to the snooker scene! 🎱👏 #GetWellSoonNeil #SnookerChampion #NeilRobertson
