🎬🍻 Star Wars Audition Gone Wild!

Legendary British actor Ray Winstone recently shared a hilarious and outrageous tale about his attempt to join the Star Wars universe. The acclaimed star of Sexy Beast confessed that he turned up for an audition “p*****” after a wild night out! 😳🍺

Winstone was vying for the role of Padmé Amidala’s father in Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones. But, things took a hysterical turn when he noticed George Lucas repeatedly yawning during his audition. It seems like Lucas might have been battling jet lag, but Winstone wasn’t having it. In a moment of bold honesty, he suggested, “Why don’t we both have a 15-minute sleep and then I’ll f*** off?” 😂
Turns out, the role went to Graeme Blundell instead. No hard feelings, though—Ray admitted that all the bluescreen work would “bore the a*** off me” anyway.
Fast forward a bit, and Winstone found himself in another blockbuster franchise—Marvel’s Black Widow, rubbing shoulders with the likes of Scarlett Johansson and Florence Pugh. 🌟 He portrayed Dreykov, the sinister mastermind behind the Red Room.
Yet not even a successful Marvel role could escape its challenges. Ray was asked back for reshoots on Black Widow, and let’s just say, he wasn’t thrilled. 😅 “I’ve done it. That’s how it’s going to be,” he commented on the unexpected call for additional filming.
Ray Winstone’s stories from these mega-franchises give us a glimpse of the unexpected twists and turns in the life of an actor. If there’s one thing Winstone proves, it’s that even when things go awry, a sense of humour can help you make it through with grace.
