🚨 Drama in Barry! 🚨
19-year-old Jack Finch has been jailed after a wild high-speed chase with the police through the streets of Barry. Not only was he driving recklessly, but he was also high on cannabis!
It all went down in the early hours of November 17th when officers spotted Finch and signalled him to stop. Instead, he floored it, reaching speeds of up to 80mph in a 20mph zone and even driving the wrong way around roundabouts! 😱
The chase came to an end when Finch finally stopped and waved his hands out of the driver’s side window. When tested, he was found to be under the influence of cannabis.
But that’s not all! A search of his car revealed a Gucci bag stuffed with £13,000 worth of cocaine, cannabis, digital scales, and nearly £10,000 in cash. He also had cookies containing cannabis and a baseball hat. 👜💷
Finch faced a slew of charges, including possession with intent to supply cocaine and cannabis, driving dangerously, and driving without a licence or insurance. He pleaded guilty and has been sentenced to 32 months in a young offender’s institution.
Detective Constable Lloyd Willmott from the Cardiff and Vale Organised Crime Unit said Finch put “himself, officers, and the public in danger” but hopes Finch will use his time to rethink his life choices. At just 19, there’s still a chance for him to turn things around! 🌟
