Three adventurous friends, Dyfan, Louis, and James, are cycling 6,000 miles from Wales all the way to Thailand! 🚴♀️🇹🇭 These 18-year-old pals have ditched their day jobs to embark on this incredible 14-month journey across Europe and Asia — all for a cause close to their hearts. ❤️
They started pedaling on August 2nd and aim to reach Bangkok by next October. With just their bikes, camping gear, and loads of enthusiasm, they’re navigating through countries like Germany, Austria, and Turkey, and will spend Christmas in Georgia. 🎄🇬🇪
So far, they’ve raised an impressive £10,000 for the British Heart Foundation, in memory of their friend Harrison’s dad. This epic ride is more than just a test of endurance; it’s a journey filled with breathtaking views, new friends, and incredible experiences. 🌟
Despite long days of cycling (6-8 hours on the road!), they’re loving every moment. While they mostly camped at the beginning, colder weather means they’re now finding cheap hotels to rest their weary legs. 🏕️🏨
Dyfan says, “It’s been the time of our lives!” The trio believes that exploring the world this way is worth every penny. They’ve even managed their adventure on a budget, only taking a boat from Harwich to the Netherlands and saving every bit for this dream.
Their families were nervous about the grand plan at first, but now fully support this memorable quest. 🙌 They’ve only packed essentials like a tent, sleeping bags, and a stove, but their hearts are full of determination and purpose. 💪
