Exciting news for Aldi employees! From March 1st, store assistants will receive a well-deserved pay boost. Aldi is upping the starting pay by 33p, taking it from £13.02 to £13.35 an hour. This comes just before the national minimum wage hike in April, setting Aldi’s wages well ahead at 64p more per hour!
Aldi is showing appreciation for its hardworking team by investing £36 million into pay and benefits, including an impressive 26 weeks of full maternity pay. Apprentices aren’t left out either – their hourly rate will increase to £12.02. In London, store workers can expect an even bigger rise, with wages going up 36p to £14.71 per hour.
As the only UK supermarket offering paid breaks, Aldi continues to lead the industry with benefits valued at up to £1,470 a year. This change is part of Aldi’s promise to remain unbeatable on pay while ensuring their staff continue to deliver top-notch service.
