Supermarket chain Aldi is set to create 1,000 new jobs across the nation as it intensifies its schedule of store openings for the remainder of 2025. With more than 1,050 UK shops and a workforce exceeding 45,000, the retailer’s latest recruitment push provides a variety of roles in both established and upcoming locations.

The positions on offer are varied and include Store Assistants, Store Cleaners, Store Apprentices, and entry- and mid-level management opportunities. Entry-level Store Assistants will receive a competitive starting wage of £12.75 per hour outside London, increasing to £13.66 following extended service, while those working in London receive at least £14.05 per hour, rising to £14.35 over time. Aldi has earned industry distinction as the only UK supermarket to offer paid breaks to its staff, potentially adding more than £1,370 annually to an employee’s earnings.
