๐จ Big News for the British Army! ๐จ

As global tensions keep climbing, the UK is gearing up with a fresh fleet of armoured tanks. The latest update from the armoured cavalry programme reveals that 55 more Ajax-series vehicles will be joining the force between July and December. This will boost the count to a whopping 128 tanks!

And the excitement doesn’t stop there! The Ministry of Defence is on track to receive 110 new platforms in 2026, followed by another 297 by 2028. Among these armoured powerhouses, expect to see turreted reconnaissance Ajax vehicles, swift Ares troop transports, and robust Apollo repair platforms. Missing in action? The Argus engineering variant wonโt be joining this yearโs party.
Maria Eagle, the Minister for Defence Procurement, assures us that all 589 vehicles will be ready to roll by September 2029. Fun fact โ there’s been some drama about whether the media gets to see these beasts in action, but sheโs clear that journalists aren’t left out of the loop.
This ramp-up comes at a crucial time with ongoing talks about the Russia-Ukraine conflict, including a high-profile meeting between former US President Trump and Russian President Putin. With these added tanks, the UK is bolstering its frontline readiness for whatever the future holds. ๐๐ฅ
