⚠️ Shocking Attack at Barry Island: Second Teen Arrested ⚠️

Another teenager has been arrested following a chilling assault on a young boy at Barry Island. The incident, which took place in a car park on Paget Road, saw a group of youths allegedly attacking a 15-year-old near the Stardust arcade. A disturbing video shared online shows the boy on the ground, using his hands to protect his head as he’s kicked and punched.

A 17-year-old from Cardiff is now in custody, joining a 16-year-old from Gwent previously arrested in connection with this incident. Both have been released on bail as the investigation continues.
Detective Inspector Phillip Marchant labelled it a “cowardly and vicious attack” and emphasised that it could have ended much worse. The young victim needed hospital treatment for his injuries.
In response, police visibility at Barry Island will be enhanced for the remainder of the summer to ensure public safety. Authorities are actively seeking witnesses or anyone with information about this unsettling event.
