Summer 2025 isn’t cooling down as Wales gets ready for another scorching heatwave! While the UK will see temperatures climbing above 30°C, four Welsh counties are in the sunny spotlight. 🌡️
Denbighshire, Wrexham, Monmouthshire, and Caerphilly are set to sizzle! Brace yourselves for highs reaching the 30s this week, with Tuesday, August 12, expected to be a real scorcher at around 33°C. If you’re in these areas, it’s officially a heatwave!
Wondering what defines a heatwave? It’s when temps soar past the set threshold for three consecutive days. In most of Wales, that’s 25°C. While the rest of the country gets a taste of the sun, it’s these four areas that will enjoy the full heatwave experience.
England’s also feeling the burn with the exception of some coastal and northern areas. Scotland and Northern Ireland will get a brief toasty spell above 25°C but not enough to call it a heatwave.
