The tragic case of Bhim Kohli, an 80-year-old dog walker brutally attacked in Franklin Park, near Leicester, is making headlines again. The teenage boy responsible for the attack, which occurred on September 1 last year, is having his seven-year manslaughter sentence reviewed at the Court of Appeal this Wednesday. 😔
Last year, Kohli was horrifically punched, kicked, and racially abused, ultimately succumbing to his injuries a day after the attack. The shocking incident was partially filmed by a 13-year-old girl during the attack. She was sentenced to three years of youth rehabilitation, but her sentence won’t be reviewed. 📹
The teen boy, who was 15 at the time and cannot be named for legal reasons, expressed regret in a letter. He was convicted of manslaughter but cleared of murder after claiming the attack wasn’t intended to hurt but rather a tragic release of anger. Now, lawyers are hoping to reduce his sentence.🔎
