It’s not just about affordability—it’s about combatting loneliness too! Social isolation becomes more pronounced during the colder months, so Asda’s initiative serves a dual purpose: providing nourishment and a chance for social interaction.
Asda’s Community Champions are reaching out, encouraging local over-60s groups and individuals to swing by and make the most of this offer. It’s an excellent opportunity to catch up with friends or simply enjoy a chat in a warm and friendly environment.
A little-known fact from last year’s research shows that 1 in 10 people over 60 feared they might not speak to anyone between mid-December and New Year’s Day.
