The courts heard that Daniel is associated with ‘incel’ culture, known for its extreme misogynistic views. A psychiatric report highlighted him as a significant threat to females, particularly minors. The impact on his victims was profound. The teenage girl lost her confidence and independence, avoiding going out alone for months. One of the women found herself fearful of using public bathrooms, while the other struggled with sleep and anxiety around men.

Daniel, previously under a community order for attacking a jogger, will now face an extended sentence. Judge Lloyd-Clarke described him as a “very high risk” to women, sentencing him to eight years in custody and four years on licence. Furthermore, Daniel is now on the sex offender register for life, with a sexual harm prevention order in place until 2040, banning him from entering women’s or unisex public toilets and having unsupervised contact with children.

The sentencing serves as a stern reminder of the ongoing fight against such predatory behaviour, highlighting the resilience of survivors and the critical need for vigilant protection and justice. Stay safe, stay strong, and support each other.
