Cardiff City’s night of mixed emotions! The Bluebirds secured a thrilling 1-0 victory over AFC Wimbledon, but it was a bittersweet evening as Ollie Tanner left the pitch with a concerning ankle injury. Just 23 and fresh off signing a new four-year deal, Tanner collided with an advertising board and was stretchered off, leaving on crutches. Manager Brian Barry-Murphy expressed his concern, noting the injury seems serious. “It’s not the news you want, but we’ll do everything we can to support Ollie,” Barry-Murphy vowed.

Despite the setback, the match had its moment of magic. Isaak Davies emerged as the hero, scoring in the dramatic 92nd minute to nab Cardiff their first away win of the season! The scenes of celebration among the travelling fans were electric.

Although Cardiff dominated much of the game, clear opportunities were hard to come by, echoing their frustrations from last weekend’s draw at Port Vale. But Davies’ decisive touch ensured the journey back from south London was a joyous one.
Fingers crossed for Ollie’s recovery! Stay tuned for more updates as Cardiff City hopes for the best with his upcoming scans. Until then, let’s celebrate the team’s tenacity and Davies’ last-minute heroics! 💙⚽️
