The rugby community is mourning the loss of a beloved player and devoted family man, Andrew Spittle, who passed away at 44 after bravely battling kidney and brain cancer. Known for his kind heart and warm spirit, Andrew was not only a star on the field but also a cherished husband to Michelle and an incredible dad to their daughters, Olivia and Ella.
Diagnosed around 18 months ago, Andrew underwent treatment with courage, even attending rugby training with Tonna RFC during his toughest times. His best mate, Neil, recalls him as the nicest person you’d ever meet—someone who would brighten any room and go the extra mile to help others. Stories of Andrew have touched people across the globe, leaving a legacy not just in Neath but worldwide.
The Tonna RFC community has paid heartfelt tributes, remembering him as a gentleman and a pillar of the club.
