What a thrilling day at the Cardiff 10K 2025! Despite the rain, the city was buzzing with excitement as over 7,800 runners took on the challenge—and a little water never hurt anyone, right? With the starting gun fired on Sunday at 10am, waves of runners dashed through the heart of Cardiff, including iconic sights like Cardiff Castle and the Principality Stadium.
The atmosphere was nothing short of electric! Even the wet weather couldn’t dampen spirits as participants, many of whom were raising funds for fantastic causes, raced joyfully through the city streets. Cardiff’s local heroes, like the hospitality staff running to support the Dreams and Wishes charity, really made the event heartwarming.
A special shoutout to Omar Ahmed, who nailed the men’s race in just 29 minutes and 27 seconds, and Natasha Wilson, who celebrated a personal best of 32 minutes and 42 seconds in the women’s race. Not forgetting Owen Terrell, who battled through a puncture to triumph in the wheelchair race.
The runners were all smiles as they crossed the finish line, medals glinting around their necks. Whether it was pushing for personal bests or simply enjoying the race day camaraderie, every finisher was a winner.
