🚨 Shocking Incident on Christmas Eve! 🚨

Imagine spending Christmas Eve in a bustling pub when chaos suddenly erupts. CCTV footage has captured the jaw-dropping moment in Connah’s Quay when Luke Smaje, wearing a black cap, entered The Broad Oak pub and stabbed his ex-friend Jack Shaw, who was in a blue top. The attack left Mr Shaw with serious abdominal injuries, one even penetrating his liver. Can you believe he thought his final moments had arrived?

After a security guard quickly removed Smaje from the pub, the police arrested him at his home. A folding knife was found on a window sill, but it’s still unclear if it was the weapon used.
Both men had been previously romantically involved with the same woman, which reportedly fuelled the “revenge” attack. At Mold Crown Court, a guilty plea was entered by Smaje for wounding and possessing a knife in public. But just when you thought the case was wrapping up, it took another twist! An email revealed Mr Shaw is still waiting to find out if he’ll need more surgeries, possibly affecting his bowels.
Judge Timothy Petts has postponed the sentencing until Thursday, ensuring justice is served without relying on “potentially unreliable” information.
Stay tuned for more updates on this intense case that has left a community in shock and a family with a Christmas they’ll never forget. Let’s hope for a fair outcome and swift recovery for Mr Shaw. 🙏
