Radio legend Chris Evans has been hit with a lifetime ban from the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship golf tournament. This unfolded after Evans, who once triumphed magnificently with a score of 40-under-par, faced questions about the legitimacy of his 10 handicap. Despite being eager to defend his title, he was informed he would no longer be welcome.

The Dunhill Links, a major event drawing stars from across the globe, returned with big names like tennis sensation Andy Murray and acclaimed actors Catherine Zeta-Jones and Bill Murray gracing the course. Andy Murray, with hopes of one day teeing off at The Open, dazzled alongside his golf partner Eddie Pepperell, finishing tied for 18th with a score of -23. Meanwhile, Bill Murray impressed with a joint-15th finish alongside Jordan Smith.

With the star-studded lineup including everyone from Hollywood’s Michael Douglas to musical greats like Huey Lewis, it was an unforgettable spectacle. In the end, the tournament was claimed by Cian Foley and Harrison Crowe, with a stellar score of -33.
Evans, despite the ban, took it in stride with his usual charm, once jesting about launching his own tournament, cheekily dubbed the “Dung Hill Cup”. Golf may have taken the ball away from him, but Evans shows he’s still up for a good laugh.
