Had a Christmas feast at Jeremy Clarkson’s famous country pub, The Farmer’s Dog, and it was a festive delight! Nestled near Burford in the Cotswolds, this pub is all about celebrating British produce, and it’s got that charming old-world vibe mixed with modern flair. You’ll spot the iconic hanging tractor right at the entrance!

The evening was made extra special by a cosy Christmas market outside. Inside, the ambiance was just perfect—think warm, welcoming, and filled with holiday cheer. The pub might be on the pricier side, but the quality of food and drinks makes it worth every penny. I couldn’t resist ordering the turkey, served with all the traditional trimmings. Just imagine succulent turkey and crispy roast potatoes.
For dessert, I indulged in a heartwarming apple and oat crumble cake. Although I wished it came with custard instead of ice cream for that extra winter warmth, it was still a taste of homemade heaven.

And let’s talk drinks! Hawkstone Lager and a variety of other offerings made the selection a treat in itself. What’s more, all ingredients are proudly sourced from UK farms, with a farmers’ list displayed on the wall.
Meeting Clarkson himself topped off the entire experience, adding a personal touch to the evening. If you’re thinking about giving The Farmer’s Dog a visit, I highly recommend it. Be prepared for a wait, but trust me, it’s worth it for a one-of-a-kind dining experience. And, if you’re like me, don’t forget to ask for a Yorkshire pudding with your roast!
