We’re deeply saddened to share the passing of Dr Elinor Kapp, a true visionary whose work has touched countless lives. As a driving force behind the creation of City Hospice in Cardiff in the 1980s, Dr Kapp recognised the urgent need for palliative care and transformed how it was delivered in the city. Her dedication over four decades has ensured that many patients could spend their final days with dignity and love surrounded by their families at home. 💙
Dr Kapp served not only as a trustee for over 40 years but also as Chair of the Clinical Governance Committee, guiding the hospice with compassion and commitment to the highest standards of care. Her legacy will continue to live on through the ongoing work of City Hospice, providing essential support to those facing terminal or life-limiting illnesses and offering bereavement counselling to families in need. 🌼
