🚨 Close Call at Heathrow! 🛫
A passenger plane just missed disaster shortly after taking off! An Airbus A320 had an unbelievably close encounter with a drone, flying just 10 meters from a crash. This happened as the aircraft reached 9,000 ft. The bright white device was said to have “filled” the cockpit windscreen, giving pilots a serious scare!
According to the UK’s Airprox Board, the risky run-in happened in May and involved a suspected drone spotted near London’s City Airport before the near miss. 😱 The First Officer described the object as triangular, and while the Captain only caught a glimpse, the danger was clear— only providence kept catastrophe at bay.
This isn’t an isolated incident— reports of drones getting too close for comfort are rising. In April, a drone came within a frightening 20 metres of a Boeing 737 near Gatwick, forcing immediate reports to Air Traffic Control.
