20 years on and still no justice for Nora Tait. In 2005, this loving grandmother from Doncaster was brutally murdered in her own home. Despite countless investigations, the case remains unsolved. Nora’s family, led by her daughter Jayne, continues to plead for answers. They’ve never given up hope and urge anyone with information to come forward.

Nora was simply enjoying her evening with a fish and chip supper, which was left untouched when her body was found. The only thing missing was a black leather purse, and the murder weapon was never recovered. As the 20th anniversary of her tragic death just passed, her family is desperately seeking closure.

Detective Chief Inspector Ben Wood emphasises that the key to solving this heartbreaking case may lie within the local community. Over 3,000 lines of inquiry and 600 witness statements have been pursued, yet the missing pieces remain. DCI Wood urges anyone with information, no matter how small, to share it with the police.

“This was an ordinary lady, living her normal life, and it was cut short in the most horrific way,” says a former detective involved in the case. “Her family deserves to know the truth and for justice to finally be served.”
