🚨 **Martin Lewis: Beware of Disgraceful Scams!** 🚨

Money expert Martin Lewis has issued a strong warning against deceitful online ads. A heart-breaking story shared on ITV’s This Morning highlights the devastating impact of these scams. Gill Casey recounted how her late husband Tim, despite being a savvy individual, was misled by a fraudulent promotion falsely using Martin’s name. This isn’t an isolated case; similar scams are being investigated, including one involving £2.1m lost by a Welsh victim.

Tim fell victim after watching a video falsely suggesting Martin was recommending cryptocurrency. The scammer manipulated him into small initial investments before relentlessly pushing for more – with phone calls that lasted up to two hours, several times a week. Sadly, before trying to withdraw, Tim had invested around £90,000. He was then conned into paying a supposed tax bill and commission fees, leading to further financial devastation.
Gill’s revelation of how this crime affected her husband is heart-wrenching – it stole his dignity and self-esteem, leaving him a shadow of his former self. She noticed a decline in his health, ultimately leading to a cancer diagnosis that claimed his life within months.
Martin Lewis emphasised on the show: “Don’t fall for it! I never endorse ads for ‘make money’ schemes or crypto trading. These criminals use deepfake AIs to trick you. If it seems too good to be true, it is! Legit companies don’t waste hours of your time weekly – they’re scammers trying to bleed you dry.”
Stay safe and vigilant, folks. Always question too-good-to-be-true offers and remember, Martin Lewis never promotes such schemes. ⚠️
Let’s spread the word and protect each other from these shameful scams! 🙌🏼💸
