After relentless rain on Monday and Tuesday, the beloved riverside pub fell victim to rising waters from the River Cothi, filling it with floodwater and leaving parts of the pub submerged. Co-owner John Davison shared his morning shock: “The river was already high and within an hour, it went wild.” Heartbreaking scenes as bits of trees crashed through windows and their idyllic beer garden turned into a mini lake. They’ve had to close their doors, with a major clean-up pending. 😞

Sadly, due to the pub’s location and frequent flooding history, they’re unable to secure insurance for the damage. In the summer, it’s one of West Wales’ serene spots, but the current situation paints a different picture. 😒
