🚨 Urgent Inquiry Needed: School Demolition Over Landslip Fears 🚨

A Swansea Valley community is demanding answers! Godre’r Graig primary school was closed back in 2019 due to potential landslip dangers. Fast forward to 2024, the school was demolished, leaving the area without a clear plan for a new school. Concerned parents and local representatives are calling for a full public inquiry into this mess.

David Chadwick, Welsh Lib Dem MP for Brecon, Radnor, and Cwm Tawe, has taken a stand. He wrote to the Welsh education secretary highlighting how unresolved issues have left families in Godre’r Graig in turmoil. With pupils studying in temporary cabins for years now, he argues that the community deserves transparency and accountability.
Residents’ frustration is mounting, especially after Plaid Cymru’s Sioned Williams queried government funding for a new building. Chadwick remarked, “It’s deeply troubling to see our children’s education caught in limbo. We deserve a full inquiry to get to the bottom of this.”
The Welsh Government assures it’s working closely with Neath Port Talbot Council to resolve this. However, patience is wearing thin as locals demand a concrete plan and honesty from officials.
Let’s hope for swift action and clarity for the children and families of Godre’r Graig! 📚✨
