Swansea City is undergoing a whirlwind of changes as another senior figure exits. James Morgan-Snowley, who served as the head of scouting, has announced his departure following the unexpected sacking of Director of Football, Richard Montague. Known for his impressive stint with the Swans, Morgan-Snowley played a pivotal role in revamping the squad, adding depth and quality to the team during a challenging summer.

In a heartfelt LinkedIn post, Morgan-Snowley expressed his disappointment over leaving prematurely, emphasising the achievements he made in collaboration with his team. He praised lead scout Andrew McGregor and emerging talent scout Connor Rowden, both of whom are also leaving, noting their significant contributions that strengthened the squad.
Morgan-Snowley acknowledged departing Director Montague, lauding him as a person of integrity who played a central role in securing essential deals during the transfer window. He credited Montague’s leadership as crucial in bringing talents like Cameron Burgess and Zeidane Inoussa to the club, even in the absence of a permanent manager.

With a shifting strategy at play, CEO Tom Gorringe and head of recruitment Adam Worth are expected to assume larger roles. The search for players will see heightened involvement from Worth, while Gorringe steps up on negotiation duties. Meanwhile, the position of Director of Football may be phased out.
Morgan-Snowley leaves with a sense of pride, believing the club has had its most successful window in recent history. Although his tenure ended sooner than he hoped, he’s confident the squad is positioned for future success. As Swansea gears up for another chapter, fans are eager to see how these structural changes will shape the club’s path forward.
