This weekend, visitors found more than just breathtaking views at the beloved Broad Haven South Beach in Pembrokeshire. A significant landslide shook the iconic spot, leaving locals and beachgoers totally stunned! Rocks and rubble cascaded from the cliff onto the golden sands below, transforming part of this picturesque beach overnight.
🏕️ The folks at Stackpole Under The Stars shared their shock on social media, saying their favourite picnic spot has “bitten the dust” after presumably heavy rains and winter storms. For those who know this charming cove—reached by a right turn from the car park—it’ll never be quite the same again.
📸 My Pembrokeshire’s Instagram page captured the aftermath, reminding us of the constant dance between nature and time: coastal erosion changes our landscapes slowly but surely. Thankfully, no one was injured during this dramatic event!
The beach remains open and continues to be a remarkable destination, despite this natural shift. The National Trust has yet to provide a statement on the situation.
