Big shake-ups in the retail world are coming! Poundland, River Island, and Morrisons have announced upcoming store and bakery closures in 2026. Poundland plans to shut down 14 more stores in February, adding to the 100 already on their list. Even as doors close, they promise amazing value and special reductions to say goodbye in style.

Check out some of the Poundland locations closing soon:

– Winton: February 6
– Chichester: February 8
– Feltham: February 8
– Crayford: February 11
– Nottingham (Chilwell): February 13
– Urmston: February 16
River Island is also trimming its fleet, shutting 32 locations in January after a challenging year. The shift towards online shopping and rising costs are hitting hard. Some notable closures include shops in Brighton, Oxford, and Leeds Birstall Park.
Over at Morrisons, the bakery scene is changing as Rathbones Bakery faces closure. This follows last year’s shutdown of 145 sites, including cafes and pharmacies. Tough conditions in the bakery market have taken their toll, leading to significant declines in sales and job risks for the employees.
Big changes are ahead, but these companies are committed to navigating the storm while providing great deals and support to their customers up to the very end. Stay tuned for more updates as these closures unfold!
