đ§ī¸â ī¸ A Rainy Monday Mayhem in Wales! đ§ī¸â ī¸

Hold onto your brollies, folks! Wales just experienced a massive downpour with more than a month’s worth of rain falling in just one day! Over 50 areas are now at risk of flooding, as the heavy rainfall caused major disruptions across the country. đđĢ

With a rare amber weather warning still in place, roads have turned into rivers, leaving many parts of south and west Wales in chaos. In Cwm Dyli Hydro Power Station in Eryri, 127mm of rain was recorded, and Trehebert wasn’t far behind with 91mm. The Met Office warns more showers are on the way, with chances of hail and thunder. đŠī¸â
Natural Resources Wales isn’t taking this lightly and has issued nine flood warnings, highlighting areas like Carmarthen and Tenby as critical spots that need urgent attention. Another 44 flood alerts across Wales indicate potential flooding in low-lying lands, and everyone is advised to be prepared and stay safe. đ¨đĄ
Despite Tuesday seeing fewer rain warnings, it’s not over yet! Forecasters say the weather will stay “unsettled.” So, expect some blustery showers, and maybe some sunny intervals between stormy episodes. đĻī¸đ
Stay safe, and keep those raincoats handy! For more updates, keep an eye on local news and remember to check your travel routes to avoid flooded areas.
