๐๐ป Spooky Driving Alert This Halloween! ๐๐ฆ

Getting ready to rock your amazing Halloween costume and hit the road? Here’s a fun but essential reminder to keep you on the safe side and avoid any scary fines!
Experts have highlighted Rule 97 of the Highway Code, which says that your clothing and footwear must allow you to control the car properly. This means some costumes could land you in hot water if they restrict your ability to drive safely! ๐ฑ

๐ซ Avoid costumes with big hats, masks, or any chunky shoes that might mess with your pedals or visibility. The last thing you need is a cape getting tangled up or a mask limiting your view!
For ultimate safety, consider changing into your costume once you’ve reached your venue. Or, if you want to go all out with your outfit, leave the driving to someone else and take public transport, a taxi, or a lift.
Chief operating officer Mike Thompson says, โEvery year millions of Brits dress up and head out for Halloween, but driving in the wrong costume could lead to a ยฃ100 fine or even three penalty points.โ And remember, in extreme cases, penalties can reach up to ยฃ5,000 – spooky stuff indeed! ๐ฎ๐ธ
Experts from BigWantsYourCar.com also caution: โLong dresses and capes can be a dangerous tangle hazard around the pedals, and masks or tinted lenses can drastically reduce visibility, especially at night.โ
Remember, your safety and that of other road users must always come first. So, even if it’s the season of witchery and whimsy – don’t let a costume turn a fun night into a terrifying tale of fines or accidents.
๐ Drive safe and have a hauntingly good time this Halloween! ๐ธ๏ธ๐
