💰 Attention PIP Claimants! Could you be owed £308 in backdated payments? 💰

If you’re above state pension age and previously received the lower rate of the mobility component on Personal Independence Payment (PIP), you might be eligible for a payment reassessment. A recent legislative change makes it possible for certain older claimants to benefit from an enhanced mobility award.
The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is calling on eligible individuals to request a review. If you had your PIP claim reviewed between April 8, 2013, and November 20, 2020, and continued to receive the standard rate without a change based on new medical evidence, this is for you!

The enhanced mobility rate is currently £77.05 per week, totalling £308.20 over a four-week pay period. This rate can also grant access to the Motability Scheme, which supports transportation needs.
Here’s how to know if you qualify:
– You had a PIP review between April 8, 2013, and November 20, 2020.
– You are over state pension age.
– You received the standard rate mobility award.
– There was no reported change in your mobility needs.
– You had a health professional assessment.
– Your decision letter stated your mobility award couldn’t increase due to your age.
If this sounds like you, don’t delay! Reach out to the PIP inquiry line at 0800 121 6579 and mention the ‘Regulation 27 administrative exercise review.’ Have your National Insurance number ready. More details can be found on the GOV.UK website.
