Big news from Rhymney! 🚨 Over 20 police officers stormed three locations early Thursday morning, seizing a hefty stash of cash, cocaine, cannabis, two off-road bikes, two cars, mobile phones, and a laptop. This is part of an ongoing effort to clean up the streets and halt the illegal drug trade in the area.

A 25-year-old local was arrested and remains in custody, facing serious allegations of involvement with the supply of cocaine and cannabis. Neighbourhood Inspector Lysha Thompson reassures residents that they’re committed to making Rhymney a hostile environment for organised crime.

“As part of our Respect Rhymney operation, we’ve executed 21 drug warrants, arrested 13 people, and seen two significant convictions,” says Thompson. The message is clear: illegal activities have no place here!
